The Rocky Sprockets are true and bold
We may be tired but we never grow old.
Biking hills and crossing large streams
Living life large, following our dreams.
We ride as brothers through the pouring rain
If we get flats, we don’t complain.
If a Sprocket falls off his bike in the shadow dark
We help him get up and find his tent in the park.
We are honest, brave, and we like to drink beer
At our Sprocket meetings, we are full of good cheer.
We’ve been though tough times, but together we stand.
We laugh and sing as we bike through the land!
Misquamicut, Portland, New York, and Block
Niantic, Falmouth, the Sprockets just rock!
Rocky Neck, Hull, and and the Hamptons we go
Groton, Great Barrington, and Montauk we know!
Tiverton, Burlingame, and Newport were fun
We like to play pranks and lie in the sun
Live music makes us dance at the bar
Hopefully Quick Release has rented a car.
At the Air BnB there’s plenty to do
We can listen to TopEye play drums on his shoe.
Caliper and Inny usually make a great meal
While Forky and Dynamo watch tennis, that’s the deal.
Newsy and Kicky like to gaze at the sunset
While Headset and Odo drink to forget
Free and Chromo sometimes fall asleep
As Axle and Pumper relive memories deep.
Yes, we Sprockets like to play tricks, that’s true
Somebody moved that bottle of shampoo.
Or putting a lobster in someone else’s bike rack.
Or Cheetos in a bed, that’s a fact.
Someone put Headset’s bike on the roof
While Kicky peed on a Sprocket, that’s the truth.
The Sprockets got flashed by Chicks, that’s a pleaser
And Pumper’s Speedo was put in the freezer.
There’s grilled steak and potatoes at night
In the morning, there’s pancakes and hash browns, that’s right.
For lunch we usually nibble on snacks
Or we head over to a nice local lobster shack.
On the last day we ride back home on our bikes
Some of the Sprockets are crying, that’s right
Because they remember all of the good times we’ve had.
We don’t recall the flats and disasters that were bad.
So Rocky Sprockets will endure for ages to come
Even though the older we get, we’ll get a sore bum.
BYAs and 1,000 MOBs, that’s the test each year
The older we get, the fewer the fears.
So drink a toast to the best bike club in the land.
The Rocky Sprockets still rock, and united they stand.
We’ll be together for years ahead, that’s true.
Bike miles and friendship, that’s what we do!
